1. Gather the current information
Keep your existing policy schedule and vehicle registration details nearby. Note any changes you need to discuss, such as contact information, vehicle use or ownership details.
2. Check each expiry date
Read the dates on the relevant policy sections and contact the insurer before expiry. If cover has already expired, ask what process and effective date would apply; do not assume a new enquiry restores cover.
3. Prepare a consistent brief
Use the same vehicle information and coverage questions for every quotation. Note previous claims accurately and ask the insurer to verify any no-claim bonus shown.
4. Review the written quotation
Put price, IDV, deductibles, selected add-ons and exclusions side by side. Ask for explanations of differences instead of choosing on the headline price alone.
5. Check the issued documents
After purchase through an authorized channel, check that the issued documents reflect the details agreed. Keep receipts and the issuing insurer’s contact details.
Use our documents checklist to prepare. If you are unsure which type of enquiry to make, contact Insurno.
An enquiry is not an insurance application or confirmation of cover. Do not upload identity documents or payment details through this website.
